This model demonstrates how highly prized antique Flemish harpsichords were in eighteenth century France by its careful enlargement to accommodate an increased, more useful compass. The original by the Ruckers family, would have been a double manual, transposing instrument with only two choirs of strings, one at octave pitch.

Double manual, GG-AA-d3, 2 x 8′ + 1 x 4′, buff to 8′, case decorated in traditional Ruckers style with marbled exterior and papered interior in a choice of patterns, tripod stand, integral music desk, bone naturals ebony sharps, wooden jacks, voiced in delrin.
